Draft notice. The operator’s identity, direct privacy contact, and location must be confirmed before publication. This describes the current application; it is not a certification of legal compliance.
Use CommissionCalc to build and share pricing calculators for your work. Template prices are examples, and estimates need your review. Your commission agreement is between you and your customer. Mandatory consumer rights remain intact.
1. Operator and scope
This website is operated by the CommissionCalc website operator. In these notices, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to that operator.
Public contact: Lawrence’s Ko-fi profile (a direct privacy email is awaiting confirmation).
These terms describe use of this CommissionCalc website and its calculator-generation features. Please read them before using the service. Use the service only where you can agree to its use under the laws that apply to you, including any permission needed from a parent or guardian.
2. What CommissionCalc provides
CommissionCalc is a browser-based tool for creating, customizing, and exporting pricing calculators. Optional username-and-password accounts let you save multiple calculators and quote snapshots in a private library. Each account can hold up to 200 items. It offers no commission marketplace, customer submissions, or payment checkout. Using the editor is free; optional support is separate.
Templates contain example prices and wording. They are not market-rate recommendations, professional advice, or a promise that your business complies with tax, consumer, intellectual-property, or other requirements.
3. Estimates and your commissions
Check the rates, currency, quantity limits, multipliers, minimums, discounts, tax, deposits, and rounding before publishing or relying on an estimate. The currency control changes formatting; it does not convert your prices. Deposit figures are part of the total, not an additional charge.
A calculator result is an estimate unless the maker separately agrees otherwise. It does not by itself book a commission, reserve a slot, make a payment, or create an agreement with CommissionCalc. The maker and customer agree the final scope, price, timeline, payment terms, usage rights, cancellations, and any applicable refund rights.
Makers remain responsible for their prices, representations, taxes, customer agreements, and notices on the websites where they publish calculators. These site terms do not replace a maker’s own commission terms.
4. Your work and exported calculators
You retain your rights in your own calculator settings, labels, business information, and original work. When you save to an account, you give the operator the permission needed to store and process that content to provide, secure, back up, and restore the requested service. CommissionCalc does not obtain ownership of them through your use of the editor.
You have permission to generate, use, modify, embed, and share the exported calculators for personal or commercial work. You may turn off the optional CommissionCalc credit in the editor. Keep required third-party license and copyright notices in redistributed code, including the Anime.js MIT notice already included in the library.
Use material you have the right to use. Do not imply that CommissionCalc or another artist endorses your work without permission. Credits & licenses lists the bundled components and their terms.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect the rights of other people. Do not use it to distribute malicious code, impersonate another person or business, publish unlawfully obtained information, infringe intellectual-property rights, interfere with the site, or bypass security controls. Do not put confidential customer information or credentials in a public calculator.
The operator may take proportionate steps to protect the service from misuse, including restricting abusive traffic. Any action must respect applicable law and mandatory rights.
Your account
Choose a username you have the right to use and protect your password and recovery code. Do not share them or access another person’s account. A recovery code is provided at registration and replaced after password recovery or change. No email reset service is included; without your password or recovery code, self-service recovery is unavailable. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Saved items are private within the account service. Downloading or sharing them makes additional copies that the service cannot recall. You may export your account data or delete your account through Account settings. The operator may proportionately restrict abusive accounts or unlawful content, subject to applicable law and mandatory rights; communicate material action where reasonably possible and safe.
6. Drafts, snapshots, and availability
Calculator settings autosave in this browser. An autosaved draft can be lost if you clear site data, switch browsers or devices, use private browsing, or the browser removes it. Account storage requires the service to remain available and its persistent database and backups to be maintained. Download project files and keep your own backups. A quote snapshot retains its saved rates and selections; changing a calculator later does not update existing quote snapshots. Switching devices requires signing in and opening a saved item; current editor changes reach your account only when you explicitly save them. Browser autosave keeps one working draft on this device.
Links, embeds, and HTML files are snapshots. Changes in the editor do not update copies already published; generate and replace your embed when prices change. Direct links depend on this website staying available. Website builders may restrict custom scripts or frames.
We aim to keep the tool useful and available, but updates, outages, defects, and discontinued features may occur. Independently test important pricing calculations and keep copies of calculators you depend on.
7. Optional support and third parties
The support link leads to Lawrence’s Ko-fi page. Support is optional and does not purchase a commission, guaranteed availability, priority support, or additional calculator rights. Any separate product or membership offered on that page has its own stated terms.
Ko-fi and payment providers handle support payments under their own terms. If a support payment was mistaken or unauthorized, contact the creator and the payment provider promptly using the transaction details. These terms do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule or restrict rights required by law.
Third-party websites, hosting, and assistants have their own terms and privacy practices. Read them before providing information or making a payment.
8. Responsibility and legal rights
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service and examples are provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation or suitability for every purpose. Use reasonable care when checking estimates and publishing them.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees, statutory remedies, privacy rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. The terms do not require you to waive claims, accept mandatory arbitration, or indemnify the operator for its own wrongdoing.
9. Changes and resolving concerns
Future changes should be posted with an updated effective date and apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. A material change requiring agreement or consent must be handled separately where the law requires it. Saved or exported files remain under their applicable licenses.
Contact Lawrence’s Ko-fi profile (a direct privacy email is awaiting confirmation) about service problems or disputes so the operator can try to resolve them. Mandatory laws, consumer protections, and available legal remedies continue to apply. You may use any court or dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.
